Company has studied cost overrun problems at conventional nuclear plants
NuScale’s first customer for its small modular reactor has set a target for the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) of 5.5 US cents per kilowatt hour, or $55/MWh – putting it at the low end of the cost range for new reactors.
