  • Jan 2022 - first joint US and Canada review passed of postulated initiating events (PIE) analysis and methodology for proposed IMSR design
  • Since 2019 - US NRC involved in pre-licensing activities for IMSR including technical and topical reports reviews
  • Dec 2019 - US and Canada regulators chose IMSR for their first ever joint review
  • Nov 2018 - IMSR passed phase 1 of pre-licensing vendor design review (VDR) by Canada's regulator CNSC
